A Good Pair Of Shoes

This is what a pair of Vibram shoes look like after about 3K and plenty of water time.

My Uncle told me about these wonky 5-toe shoes about five years ago. Being the shoe hound that I am (joking) I decided to give them a go.

They can be tough on the toes as you have to watch where you’re walking/running quite a bit more than other shoes. Roots can be a major source of “owwww”, as well as pine needles, etc., getting in-between the toes. Even so they’re still the best on-trail hiking shoes I’ve ever owned.

Will start wearing out my next pair today.

  1. I still like the feel of the “five fingers,” but I have decided to stick to closed toe shoes on my bike. Less chance of toecatastrophy.
