Farewell Silver City, NM

We had so much fun in the Gila national forest, and loved the region, as well. The first time we visited Silver City, I saw this sign and discovered how rich the town’s history was. Woot, woot, Billy the Kid!

Oh, and that’s our truck in the background. A paddleboard makes for a great conversation-starter in the desert 😉

  1. Are you guys hauling a truck too? If so, do you find that to be necessary, or extra.

Lauren and I are in the beginning stages of planning a motorhome adventure and we are curious about what size RV to consider, and if we need to bring a motorcycle or car, canoe, etc.

  2. Great talking with you, Jeffery and catching up a bit. My recommendation is go as small as you can stand to be in a space. I’ve talked with a bunch of people who feel like they’re limited by their large-size vehicles (Class A or 5th wheelers) but thought at the time they’d need lots of space. It’s nice if you’re going to be in one place for 6 months, for the travelers… keep in mind where you want to go and where you want to park! We’ve been in a few places with 10+ miles of gravel roads, and were worth the drive!
