Montjuïc Castle

The history of Castle Montjuic is almost unbelievable. It was originally used as a defensive position at a high point overlooking the city to prevent ships from entering the port. Over the course of history the city was captured and the castle was then used to punish the city by firing cannonballs into it. It was later used during the latest fascist regime for nefarious purposes. So the castle itself is regarded with disdain by the people of Barcelona, yet it was never torn down.

We first took an air car to get up to the castle. K was very brave!

I’m titling this photo as: “Nude with Artillery”
In the sky car. Lots of good advice here! 🙂
