Today is the day for roller coasters 🙂 We have fast passes and a beautiful day, so we should be busy riding coasters instead of standing in line. K was so brave! She did almost every ride I did. The one ride she didn’t do that I did wasn’t a big deal either, just a free-fall from about 150ft.

A great day to catch some fish

I actually don’t have a picture of our first coaster of the day. I thought is was going to be an easy one, but NOPE! It launches you quite quickly! Then you fly over the lagoon upside down at many points! After that one I realized I’m no spring chicken anymore and had to take this roller coaster stuff seriously.

Second up the log ride. It’s about 11am but already pretty warm
They actually had full body driers for the water rides! Great idea. It was funny to see 6 people crammed in there trying to dry off at the same time
Another happy camper

Our first Halloween Haunted house experience. Lots of jump scares. Glad I carry ear plugs. Was good at points, but didn’t have much of any story.

Lets get the water rides done first. Teamed-up with a nice couple from Ireland and their young adult boys
Why not? We’re in Spain after all…
We also did Halloween Haunted Houses today. In this haunted house I was actually chased down this road (running) by a guy with a chainsaw! The Haunted House experiences were mostly jump scares. This one had a moment where we met the Queen of the Dead. That was great as it was scripted with a live actress in a Dia Del Muertos style dress and a throne

This might be the best show I’ve ever seen in a theme park. It was very similar to a Cirque du Soleil show., but definitely more edgy. The lighting effects were great.

More Halloween Decorations

The definition of “cool”??? Maybe “dork”???

I actually road a coaster with a 3D headset on! It was pretty sweet, but not for people who can’t deal with VR dislocation. The coaster was a pretty tame coaster, the VR added an entire Mayan temple to the coaster. It wasn’t enough to make it look really good, but it looked pretty good at the beginning of the ride, and real value-add. I understand why they did it like that, because they had to be EXTREMELY sensitive to timing so that people don’t literally get sick halfway through the coaster! I think this could be a really fun thing in 10 years.

The one ride K sat out. The free fall
Big coaster territory!
Biggest roller coaster drop in Europe (I think), and the biggest drop I’ve ever seen (and I’ve seen tons of ’em)! I saw a big athletic guy get kicked off the ride because the bar wouldn’t fit around him. I thought really skinny thoughts and one of the guys rammed the bar down on me twice and we heard a “click”. Guess that means I’m good to go 🙂 I didn’t fly out anyways so I guess it worked!
Next up the red beast here. Something like eight inversions (loops). I gave K tips on leaning into the loops. SHE WAS AWESOME!

Sesame Street Land

The details in the Sesame Street Land were awesome. Very impressive. On par with Disneyland even.

Just finished all the big coasters in the park! Time to head to Sesame Street for a dust off. Hopefully my head will stop spinning after I put my spleen back in the right spot (j/k)

Artsy Shots

Heading out. Was a perfect day with K at the park 🙂
