Montjuïc mountain is a quite historical piece of the Barcelona story: Montjuïc Castle is there, which is indelibly linked to the history of Barcelona, for better or worse (more about that in a future post). The National Art Museum (a future post) is situated at the northern end of the mountain. Just north of that is the “Magic Fountain” (also a future post) which is a spell-binding fountain show the likes of which I’ve not seen before in a single large round fountain. Montjuïc was also one of the core locations (if not the core location) for the 1992 (I think) Olympics.

Replacing a moat with a garden, I love it!
Nice parks/gardens are interspersed around the mountain
The port for the city is positioned on the back side of Montjuïc Mountain so it’s not visible from the city proper. It extends out quite far.
We rode these in a future post
