What a cemetery! People went all out!

Quite a mix of the old and new. The surroundings are very modern.

The tombs underneath the overpass are doing really good.

I looked it up on ChatGPT. This is actually a donation box to the poor. I think K mentioned that it’s so poor people can get a proper burial.

Yeah they really did it up here.

This guy really did it right. He has one of those inverted busts like you see in the haunted house in Disneyland!

Super famous pop star from awhile back.

There’s so much stuff here I’m skipping over many of the grave sites and only showing the unusual stuff. It goes on for acres…

Some of these people made little buildings for themselves.

Statues crying for the dead. Seems a bit dramatic, but heck that’s just me. I’m starting to realize my American sensibilities while in France. I’d say that Americans have minimalistic ethos because instinctively I wouldn’t embrace this kind of stuff. But, it’s fun to see people who do.

Check this one out. This grave has a huge 10ft tall statue!

Pretty stained glass in this one.

This grave is a tree. Getting closer to what I’d find as fanciful for myself.

Both of these are like 15ft tall!

Piece by piece they puzzled this thing together.

It was tough to get a picture of this one, but it looks like a real person. I wonder if they somehow made a cast out of his body.

Heading back for the day. Day 4 was all about recovering from Day 3.
