We just finished Graffiti Tunnel and walked all the way back to our apartment (8 miles or so).

The London Eye

We took a ride on this in a couple of days. More pictures to come.

This lion has a story. The plaque is below

Palace of Westminster & Big Ben

Westminster Abbey

We just couldn’t stomach going into another church/palace as we’ve seen about 50 of ’em, so we just took pictures from the outside and saved about $60 bucks per place. Many of the museums in London are free, but if you have to pay to get into anything expect to be out of pocket $60 bucks (or more) for two people.

This is the college campus behind the abbey
Looks very British to me 🙂 Love it
Another huge church across the street

Gotta Keep On Moving

Piccadilly Circus

Trafalgar Square

The square was closed when we were there.

Reminds me of a song about a homeless guy in Trafalgar Square. Note – The monument in the middle is of Lord Nelson and must be 100 feet high. The four lions are really big:

I live in Trafalgar Square
Four lions to guard me
Fountains and statues all over the place
The ‘Metropole’ staring me right in the face
I admit it’s a trifle drafty
But I look at it this way you see
If it’s good enough for Nelson
It’s quite good enough for me

We actually dined in a crypt!

A bit odd to dine while walking over gravestones

The Journey Continues

Buckingham Palace

The changing of the guard. Pretty bad picture. Just posting for posterity

Keep On Walking…

Everyone’s got an arc (except the US). Do we need one? Nope. This one’s definitely the most modest

They had a column for each of the English Colonies. Must have been 10 monuments there!

Metal Beam Memorial

Got some good shots of this one

Winter Wonderland

On the way back we passed by the Winter Wonderland again. We’ll be getting to that in about a week.
